Just like Mondays need a more energetic, punchy look to bring your spirit up, you can get away with very little in order to feel bursting with joy on a Friday.

It has been a while since I inspire my outfit just on a make up highlight and today is the day. Looking through some images yesterday, I ran into a brilliant make up look by Andrew Gallimore for Erdem SS 2012 (opening image) and I immediately fell in love.

One of the things that definitely make an outfit shine is contrast. Now if instead of contrasting just your clothes but your whole outfit with the environment around you, doesn't that boost the effect? In other words: now that Spring is among us with full strength, I feel inclined to performing a total grey look.

One of the most entertaining things of looking at old pictures is, in my opinion, the fantastic looks you can spot. Pieces you would never wear nowadays and back then seemed brilliant, hairstyles that today would make you want to shave your head, make up that provokes genuine laughters... And yet, vintage styles are coming back stronger than ever, so photos also make an amazing source of inspiration.

It is official: two days ago spring invaded us. And alongside with it comes the funniest style period of the year. Walking down the street becomes a very confusing, yet entertaining experience: stubborn, cautious people, reluctant to let go of their coats, boots and wintery colours, mingling with the wild, careless ones who are ready to expose their bodies as soon as a ray of sun reaches the ground.

Even though, for some reason, black and white stripes tend to have a connection with French style, this is not a French inspired post (we had quite a few of those not long ago).

I always feel like making the most ground breaking looks on the least special days of the week. Tuesdays tend to be lame, not as hated as Mondays, not as cheerful as Thursdays, just another boring day in the middle of the week.

And one of the best advantages of spring weather is that we can finally lock up scarves until next winter (as much as I liken them) and start showing off that sexy, silky bit of skin. And not only can we show it but adorn it.

Let's make a lame Tuesday shine. Last season, metallics and shimmery effects were all over the catwalk. Golden and silver outfits became the essentials to any night out. And since fashion is so beautifully extravagant and exuberantly extreme, catwalks this year have taken this trend one step beyond.

Today I am emulating Wednesday's outfit, that was all about giving your androgynous self a go. On Wednesday the post kicked off with super stylish Diane Keaton on "Annie Hall" and today it is miss Katharine Hepburn herself, an undeniable icon of androgyny, doing the honours.
