Of all areas of Trend Forecasting, I find music might be one of the hardest to work on. There are so many different groups, genres, artists, styles... Or maybe, and precisely because of this, it should be easier to forecast the next "sound", as the more information, the better you can extract conclusions.

what gives the "it" to a girl
Google Images is a source of surprises, and while doing some research, I stumbled upon a photo that captivated me. It was a picture of British model and socialite Alexa Chung. I had to double check, and was shocked with how much she reminded me of cinema legend Leslie Caron, particularly on the 1953 film, "Lili".

Nordstrom + Chriselle Lim
Funny how I was researching stylist and vlogger Chriselle Lim on my recent post about Snapchat in fashion and a few days later I come across this piece of news on my Facebook feed:

vive la Revolution! (or how brands will plead that little YouTube girl)
Being as passionate about make up and cosmetics as I am, it would have been hard for me not to stumble upon this new cosmetics brand, Em-Cosmetics.

fashion could use a little ghost
Doing a bit of research on interesting apps in growth, I came across this one, Snapchat. For those who are not familiar with this app, Snapchat is an app that allows you to share photos and videos with your contacts. How is this innovative? I thought. Well, the singularity of this app is, the recipient will only be able to see your "snap" for up to 10 seconds. If you don't screen shot the content, it will disappear.

best corsets are made of flesh
In many places around the globe, looking out the window such a day as today, the weather can be described as anything but inviting. Hence the idea of exposing even the tiniest bit of our poor, darling skin seems like torture.
Nevertheless, there is hope around the corner; grey days will soon be long gone and there is a wonderful trend awaiting their arrival: belly show-off.

I have a friend that claims nail art is the most pointless thing. Men do not even notice, he says, and only a handfull of women would advert nail decorations, when truly outstanding.
My answer? To hell with that!

classy New Year!
What a funny day today. Newspapers, TV shows, websites, blogs; everybody is talking about what they are leaving behind.
Hence, let's not milk it and think only about what is to come: hopefully a real fun night. I wanted to make an original New Year's Eve "Get Moody" post, but during research, I came across so many interesting, quality, fun ideas, proposed by the internet community throughout this year, that I thought: let's list out some of this favourites!

when bows take over

It is no secret that the baby doll look became fashionable a couple of years ago. Catwalks and eventually streets were loaded with polka dots blouses, kitten collars, ballerinas and, of course, bows.

nothing like a classic...

As a closure of the week, I am going to invite you to surrender. Surrender to the chicness and simplicity of one of the most iconic, basic and essential pieces of clothing ever created: the white shirt.

on how outfits can give you diabetes (or how pastels took over Spring)
| Source |
Oh well, it's been a while... After this brief break I think it is time for a trend update instead of a Get Moody daily style episode. No fear, those will come back, but since last trend update was a while ago, there has been time for quite a bit of trend spotting and analysing. So to gently getting started, I cannot help but addressing what is to be (and is already) the key trend to this spring summer: pastels.
