red - AW14 trend

Without a shadow of a doubt, the reigning trend over all catwalks, all four fashion weeks, every stage was tinted red for AW14. From its most vibrant and sharp shades to matte burgundies and wines, next winter we will have to paint all white roses red.

Many different textures like satin, gauze, chiffon and lace for potent reds and more rigid and firm materials tinted in burgundy, like leather or velvet.

The absolute monarch, the colour of passion and strenght, a reflection of fierce, decisive attitude that designers have envisioned for women on the upcoming season. The colour that runs through our veins and now will also flood the streets of our cities.

El monarca absoluto, el color de la pasión y la fuerza, un reflejo de la actitud feroz y decisiva que los diseñadores han visualizado para la mujer en la próxima estación. El color que corre por nuestras venas ahora también correrá por las calles de nuestras ciudades.

Beards are always awesome. They started becoming a fashion thing a couple of years ago, in fact, here is a post from 2011 commenting on the timid uprising of the trend. Three years later, razor businesses gone bankrupt and books written about it, beards have become object of desire, admiration... and design!

Have a look at what photographer Pierce Thiot and wife have established as theme for their Tumblr page "Will It Beard". An absolutely beautiful, funny and enjoyable project that is definitely worth having a look at.

Las barbas son siempre geniales. Comenzaron a tornarse "accesorios de moda" hace un par de años, de hecho, he aquí un post de 2011 comentando el tímido alzamiento de esta tendencia. Tres años más tarde, empresas de cuchillas de afeitar en quiebra y libros sobre el tema publicándose, las barbas se han convertido en objeto de deseo, admiración... ¡y diseño!
